As a freelance product designer, I had the privilege of collaborating with the talented team at 1st Class Labs. Together, we embarked on an exciting journey to develop a cutting-edge web3 platform that revolutionizes education. Our primary focus was to create a dynamic Social Education platform, empowering content creators to foster engaging discussions and share captivating videos with their communities.
The challenge
Balancing user needs and fostering trust, we are dedicated to building an engaging community ecosystem for content creators in Open & Token-Gated Communities. This standout feature of our platform offers a unique environment for educational content creators to thrive and connect with their audience. By sharing free videos and audio content, creators can expand their network while also providing the option to host exclusive videos accessible only to subscribed members.
Elevating the design for seamless interaction
I re-designed the base platform, which can be likened to YouTube but with a focus on web3 education. Within this framework, content creators can customize their profiles, upload videos with token-gating possibilities, monitor their performance through comprehensive stats, and actively engage with the communities they are a part of or lead.
Seamless content sharing: Video upload flow
A pivotal aspect of my contribution was designing the seamless video upload flow, ensuring creators could effortlessly share their content with their audience. This involved creating an intuitive interface that guides content creators through the process of uploading their videos, optimizing the user experience, and streamlining the content distribution process.
Empowering creators with course building capabilities
Additionally, I crafted an intuitive course builder and course home interface, empowering creators to curate multi-video courses that can be token gated and easily edited to adapt to evolving educational needs. This functionality enables content creators to build engaging and dynamic courses, providing learners with valuable educational content in a structured and immersive manner.
Fostering collaborative learning experiences
Recognizing the importance of user engagement, I also developed a user-friendly interface that enables course participants to navigate their learning journey. This interface includes a comprehensive preview feature, displaying upcoming lessons and tracking progress throughout the course. Furthermore, a dedicated comment section fosters interactive discussions and facilitates a more profound learning experience for users, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing among learners.
Throughout this collaborative endeavor, I aimed to strike the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, seamlessly merging a visually appealing design with a seamless user experience.
